Does a clean office make a difference?Whenever I enter a business for a simple consultation, a lot goes through in my head. Apart from the actual consultation and the greeting, the business' office is a big reflection of how the business is doing and whether it is maintained or not. Have you ever gone to somebody's house as a special guest and realized that their house looks awfully messy? The first thing that tends to go through people's head is "Am I not special enough to where they'd want to clean their house for my arrival?". Businesses are the same thing. Each and every office is representing that specific business region and is speaking a lot to the customer. Every time a customer enters the office, your goal should be to WOW the customer and to show him or her that you truly care about the guests that arrive for the consultation or meeting.. How to keep my office maintained?Keeping an office maintained is the minimum requirement to WOW the customer. Any dirty office will give the customer the impression that you do not care about your guests arrival and you certainly do not care about your own office, therefore why should they take you seriously?Important details to keep an eye for:
How do I WOW my customer?A lot of questions my customers tend to ask me is, "Most offices are well-maintained, how do I WOW my customers?"PicturesDesigns that reflect your company's ability and strategy is always the key! For example, an engineering office needs to have pictures of the most incredible building they have engineered. An accounting company should have picturs of the logos of the most known/popular company that you are accounting for.If you are a new company or have yet to have anything special, no problem! Designing your office with the goal of your company in mind is the way to go! Things as simply as testimonials can be put up but choosing the nicest frame and design is the KEY to attracting your customers. Whenever I go into an office, real attractive designs get my attention even if they are as simple as plain sentences. If your company's goal is to show the customer that you will work real hard for them, then pictures of dedicated workers can do. And again, the frame and the style of the image is the KEY to attracting the customers' eyes. ColorsColor is another very important part of WOW'ing your customers. If you have very fancy colors then they will definitely attract your customer. If a lot of your company's work is online, then having colors that match the business' website design can really WOW a customer and show them your consistency.Colors can be a blessing or a curse! Overusing them can make the place look terrible but using them properly can make your office standout than all other offices! Hiring an interior design can be a great idea since they are well-experienced in this field. LightsChandeliers and other great designs for lights can show your customer that you've put in a lot of effort into what you do and that you truly do care about the presentation of your office. Never have an office that is too dark! This may be obvious but I have definitely seen a few offices that were miserable to walk through! In ConclusionOverall, there are many things to consider when WOW'ing your customer. Looking around other offices can be a good idea for those who have no idea on where to start. This can give you ideas and help you towards WOW'ing your customer. An important thing to consider is that if something would WOW you then it will probably WOW others as well. Always get the opinions of friends colleagues to double check on your opinion! For those businesses in a competitive market, the customer can simply be looking around for the specific service or product and may be looking in many different companies. WOW'ing your customer can give the customer a chance to come back and possibly consider you as his or her service provider/product. |
